Mumbai, Upset at the continuous spoofing of his and his father Dharmendra’s dialogue delivery by a popular FM radio, Bollywood star Sunny Deol Thursday said he would sue the channel for its “below the belt” mimicry and has sought damages of Rs.200 crore.
“Son Sunny” is a popular filler entertainment on Big 92.7 FM that has an artist mimicking Sunny and Dharmendra and also poking fun at them. The show has been on air a couple of years.
“It is a cheap comedy… in very bad taste. An artist cannot be portrayed as a funny figure before the people, that too regularly, so that he becomes a laughing stock,” Sunny told reporters here.
“Mimicry,” he said, “is good and healthy, but shouldn’t go below the belt.”
Sunny has sent legal notice to the radio channel and has given seven days for it to pay damages of Rs.200 crore.

In agreement with Sunny “not under the belt” mimicry but damages of Rs200 Crores is hit right under the belt………….
I feel these are one of the respected actors extra caution must be exercised.
Certainly , the comedy is very cheap . The mimicry always make fun of sunny as he does not have a job and is free now a days …this is not true if an actor is not working this does not mean he is job less or not getting assignments . Its the anger which is reflected in the demand of damages …
making fun of sunny and dharmendra is cheap!! other many actors who are present in industry with selfmade titles, they have done very cheap acting in past and still does…but only thing is that they remain in news by making ocmments on othet co-stars to get publicity..hence has enhanced their image..! if SUNNY and other deols do not publicise themselves…and if dont say anyhting to others…it doesnt mean they are free..ad no one shud make fun of them..remember…once sunny was called..”no.1 ka baadshah” and he remained no.1 for one decade..so these chep mimicarians shud control their tongues!!
